My sweetie has come down with 'flu, the 'one that's going round this year', according to the MD. Includes chills & fever, severe sore throat and cough. Deep breaths and laughing both hurt, which limits any distracting TV to documentaries.
According to MD, it takes a week to recover, ie. start feeling not completely like you've been steamrollered, and possibly well enough to totter out for your own supplies of Vitamin I and paracetemol (acetaminophen).
It started 3 days after Coronation which suggests that at least one other person who went to the event is probably feeling pretty crap by now too.
When my sweetie says that food doesn't taste good, I know he's not well.
Weekend plans are likely limited to sofa-surfing and tea-drinking, though I might escape for a spot of fabric-shopping in Shepherd's Bush.
ETA: Turns out most of Vitus' family has come down with 'flu too.
So little MC was evidently the plague carrier who infected everyone else in the vehicle.
Suffer the little children to cough upon me...
