abendgules: (penwork E)
This is one of the two short pieces I did on Friday. (Other one should be viewable by next week.)

The other is my scribbling on scraps of parchment, obtained courtesy of HG Nerissa and Lady Gabrielle de Noyes. This is the first time I've used them!

In case you're wondering - it's verses from the prologue of Henry V, so at least I have something interesting to write.

I'm using a 'traditional' ink from Corneilssen's. It's not marked oak-gall on the bottle, but that's how it's listed in the catalogue. Go figure! Anyway, it goes on grey but turns beautifully rich black w/in 5 mins.

Scraps of parchment I was practicing on this weekend. My first try putting pen to parchment. Going to try scraping next!

abendgules: (hunh?)
BT insists it has changed nothing, but we lost connectivity for part of Sun evening and all Mon, part of Tues.
I felt like I'd lost an arm - or at least my main source of information, entertainment, gossip and time-wasting. Astonishing.

There we were, both of us on Monday, sitting on the couch, watching the wireless hub for any sign of revival. A bit sad!

Anyway - more news to follow.
