One great aspect of living in England is (some) very civilized holidays.
England has no fall hols to speak of: it's a wasteland of work from end of August to Christmas, which is a great pity, and might explain why everyone goes overboard at the office Christmas party. No Thanksgiving, which I miss dearly. Of course since there's no fall colours to speak of, and the weather is fairly grim, perhaps it's not surprising noone wants to take time off.
I spent the time assembling a new gown.
The challenge now is finishing the sleeves (enough to wear at least) and doing about 40 lacing holes by Friday.
I think I'll be doing lacing holes on the Tube, which should be amusing.
