photos from Coronation
Jun. 29th, 2004 11:48 amSome pictures from the coronation in Germany.
One group isn't very good (blurry, dark, lots of people's backs), another group is from a different angle, same events in court, but much better.
Unfortunately, most of them in court have a fine view of my side, featuring my white pilgrim pouch hanging from my shoulder.
I've picked out the best.

These folks aren't a couple, but are good friends. Fru Johanna was made a Companion of the Pelican in March, and swore her oath in Finnish, one of her 6?7? Northern European languages, including Faroese, fer pete's sake.
At this event, she complained her German was rusty.
Thomas Flamanc is half of the fine Lochac couple who let me sleep on their floor when I first arrived.
I made Thomas' short black houppelande for him, using Dame Helen's cut-up-a-sloper method, and was very pleased with the results, here worn over a short blue cote.
The little bit of fur sets off the black beautifully, I think.

Yours Truly, in my new regalia. The tabard is lined velvet. I'll never go cold in court. I may, however, get heat rash.

My Sweetie. He's actually getting us both a drink, really...
