We're broke, but we can sulk at home in style thanks to our stupidly large TV.
Our friend Sebastian upgraded to flatscreen, and donated his old-tech 22" widescreen TV to us. The only catch is that we had to collect it from S. London.
So yesterday we puffed and sweated and grumbled the box from Peckham to Hackney on the train and bus. Robert cleverly added handles in the form of two sticks taped to the box, making us look like a hopelessly mismatched pair of honky coolies trotting up Norwood Road.
To celebrate we had pizza & beer - homemade pizza, and beer from the offie.
As a result, we now have a small 15" TV available for freecycling, which comes with a built-in video player. Yes, I know it's quaint, but I'm a very slow tech adopter, sitting safely on the sidelines til what I want is cheap and cheerful.
Comes w/ remote, and all the home-taped videos you can carry.
If noone bids, it's going on Hackney freecycle.
