splendid picnic in the park! Thank you!

Thamesreach had its first picnic in the park in ages, and it was a lovely afternoon. 

I found the whole occasion very relaxing, and I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did.

After initial worries about rain, it proved a very pleasant and warm, not too sunny, not to hot.

I got out the practice sticks and shields from the fight site, and Vitus the viceroy taught some folks how to swing them, and did some slow work with one of our novice fighters.

Thank you to everyone who turned out to share food, chat, stitching, and drink. 

Guy's 'young' mead went down very, very easily! Yum!
