In the cold light of Monday, if I had not been still so angry from being abused myself the day before, I might not have applied quite so much of the devil's advocacy I have learned at Lynette's side.
The fact remains that the act was in contravention of UK law--specifically, the Equality Act of 2010. (Hilde can fight, as women can fight (Valda's in the list); therefore the problem was Lynette; the problem would not have existed were she male; therefore a straightforward case of discrimination by sex, regardless of LGBTQI elements.) This formed the basis of my plea to TRM to reconsider.
Now they have reconsidered, I will support them, and consider the issue the past. I rejoice that they were willing to reconsider, which shows them of great heart and wisdom. I have emailed them a proposal to amend the language in DW law they found confusing and necessarily gendered, as they said they wished to address the issue.
I wish I could get to Crown, but I will be in Tuscany--which is not something I am prepared to be sorry for :)
