Today's inspiration
Jan. 22nd, 2015 09:42 amJust awesome.
Charlotte's Web was one of my favourites as a kid, though in re-reading I skipped over the chapter about Wilbur's loneliness, because it made me too sad.
I must have been quite little, because the reference to Fern being 'only 8' annoyed me. What do you mean, only 8? I'm not yet 8.
Picking up a couple of years ago, I found I'd completely forgotten about Fern's older brother (age 11) coming to breakfast table with a knife and a rifle, before heading to school.
(There's nothing wrong: this is just how he goes to school. He's just a boy, who lives in the country, and this illustrates his interests vs Fern's gentle quiet nature.)
So coolMT @judith_graham @LettersOfNote Sigh.I wish I could have a few drinks with E.B. White pic.twitter.com/xs2l7YfEzG
