'Missing links' list from Ed Yong

I follow a few science blogs (calm down dear, it's work-related) and Ed Yong's column in Discover magazine is one of the best. 

The selection of 'missing links' is particularly good this week - particularly a woman writer examining her feelings about seeing another woman scientist as keynote speaker (revealing) and the story about Apple's production lines that may make you cringe away from your earphones.
