This thread just hit the Armour Archive - starts out about wanting a book review, 'should I buy it', but rapidly changes when the author of the book says, 'you know, I haven't been paid for that book, and neither have any of these other guys...'

Mr. Price stole some original work from
kes_zone several years ago, refused to back down when she confronted him, and only gave way in the direct face of complaint from numbers of angry Pennsic merchants headed his way.
I knew how he'd treated Eleanor as one artisan, but had no idea his thefts were from authors as well as other contractors. I guess when the people you owe are at the end of a phone line they're easier to dodge, for longer.
SO: if you still want the books from the publisher, find them secondhand.
ETA, Monday 21 Feb: it's getting hotter, as Lynch mentioned - Brian Price has put his version forward, including his version of commissioning 'works for hire' from Fettered Cock - a pre-emptive strike, I suppose, before anyone brings it up. He certainly has his own timeline for events!
And new notes about plagiarism...
