I continue to be pleased with and proud of the growth and enthusiasm of Thamesreach.
Things I'd like to see happen this year:
- hold the two planned official events, St. Ethelburga's and Crown Tourney, successfully
- hold the nine (count 'em) local revels for our own members, alternating themes of arts martial and arts of peace
- maintain our activities: practices, gatherings and beer & museum visits
- keep gaining 2-5 people a year. Two to three is a 10% growth, which is maintainable comfortably.
- have some folks authorise as fencers
- hand off the website
- hand off my office
At revels, things I'd like to see this year:
- get everyone to bring their own feast gear and table setting, including serving dishes for potluck food, and candles for lighting, to complete the look and feel of the meal
- hold another 'what to expect at an event' talk before Crown tournament: what is court? what is feast? how do I address people? what should I bring?
- get everyone familiar with the basic dances of Drachenwald (which means learning some more, well enough to teach)
- possibly play some of the dances on 3 hole pipe
